Converting abandoned warehouse space into usable commercial and residential tenancy is a challenging process. The condensed schedules and the necessity of having multiple trades working in the same space require constant communication and a highly dedicated workforce. When the Dalad Group began the transformation of the historic five-story George Worthington Building in the center of downtown Cleveland, they turned to Mid State Restoration to help with the conversion. From cutting in new openings in the 20” thick walls to relaying parapets and patching interior concrete columns and decks, all the work was done within the strict historic preservation guidelines to maintain the buildings original architecture and to ensure the project would maintain their tax credits. In total Mid State Restoration completed almost 1.5 million dollars worth of repairs and restoration in less than 6 months onsite.
